10 Days, 9 Nights Kenya Safari Itinerary

This journey offers a perfect blend of wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural interactions. From the vibrant city of Nairobi to the vast plains of Maasai Mara, each destination provides a unique and memorable experience. The itinerary covers Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the scenic Lake Naivasha, the diverse wildlife of Lake Nakuru, and the world-renowned Maasai Mara, home to the Great Migration

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to Sarova Panafric Hotel. After check-in, you can take some time to rest or explore the city at your leisure. Meals will be provided on a full-board basis at the hotel, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing start to your adventure.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, a premier safari destination known for its large herds of elephants and stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, check-in will be at AA Lodge Amboseli (or another lodge of similar standard), followed by lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on an evening game drive, offering the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and giraffes. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

The day is set aside for a full exploration of Amboseli National Park. A morning game drive will provide the best chance to spot wildlife at their most active. The park is home to a variety of animals, including buffalos, zebras, and hyenas, and is also a birdwatcher’s paradise. Picnic lunch will be served in the wild there after, an afternoon game drive will offer more opportunities for photography and wildlife encounters. Dinner and overnight will be at AA Lodge Amboseli.

Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will check out and travel to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. The journey offers scenic views and a chance to see the changing landscapes of Kenya. Upon arrival, you will check in at Lake Naivasha Resort and enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 5: Crescent Island Visit & Boat Ride

The morning will begin with a visit to Crescent Island, where you will take a guided walking safari. This private sanctuary is home to zebras and antelopes, offering a unique opportunity to walk among the animals. Later, a boat ride on Lake Naivasha will provide a chance to observe hippos and a variety of bird species. The rest of the day will be at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Resort or any other similar hotel of the same class.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and head towards Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and vibrant birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans. Upon arrival, you will have lunch at Sopa lodge or any other similar hotel of the same class before setting out on an evening game drive. The park is
home to rhinos, leopards, and other fascinating wildlife. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Sopa lodge in Lake Nakuru.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will check out and travel to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive will offer views of the Great Rift Valley and small towns along the way. Upon entering the reserve, an en route game drive will introduce you to the park’s diverse wildlife. After arriving at Jambo Mara Game Lodge (or a similar lodge of the same standard), you will check in and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon, an evening game drive will provide the first glimpse of the incredible wildlife in Maasai Mara. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Jambo Mara Game Lodge

Day 8: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

This day is dedicated to exploring the vast savannahs of Maasai Mara. A full-day game drive will take you to different sections of the park, increasing your chances of witnessing the incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, and if lucky, a river crossing during the Great Migration. A picnic lunch will be served in the park, allowing you to continue your exploration without returning to the lodge. In the evening, return to Jambo Mara Game Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Another Full Day in Maasai Mara

Another full day in Maasai Mara offers the chance to visit more remote areas of the reserve and track wildlife movements. With a packed lunch, you will explore the open plains and riverbanks, capturing the beauty of this extraordinary ecosystem. Cultural visits to a Maasai village can also be arranged for those interested in learning about the traditions and way of life of the Maasai people. Dinner and overnight will be at Jambo Mara Game Lodge.

Day 10: Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out and depart for Nairobi. The drive back offers another chance to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Kenyan countryside. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport or your preferred location, marking the end of a remarkable safari adventure.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that we have pre-booked accommodations and services.

  • 15–30 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
  • 7–14 days before arrival: 75% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: No refund.
    Clients may reschedule the safari at no extra cost, but any price changes due to revised hotel rates will be covered by the client.
