Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative for a short briefing about your upcoming safari. You’ll then be transferred to your lodge in Arusha, a peaceful city nestled at the base of Mount Meru. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore local attractions such as Arusha Central Market or the Cultural Heritage Centre. Your evening will be spent enjoying a hearty dinner and resting at Planet Lodge Arusha or a similar property.

Day 2: Journey to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The morning and afternoon game drives offer fantastic opportunities to spot giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, and various bird species, especially around the Tarangire River where wildlife gathers. After a picnic lunch and an eventful day of wildlife viewing, you’ll continue to the lush highlands of Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Lake Manyara & Scenic Drive to Serengeti

Enjoy an early breakfast before setting off for Lake Manyara National Park. Though compact, this park is rich in diversity and may reward you with sightings of tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and monkeys swinging through the groundwater forest. The journey continues through the Ngorongoro Highlands with an optional visit to Olduvai Gorge—one of the world’s most significant paleoanthropological sites. As you descend into the Serengeti, wildlife becomes more frequent, and your evening concludes with a brief game drive and dinner at Serengeti Heritage Camp or Sound of Silence Camp.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day safari across the endless Serengeti plains. Depending on the season, your guide will take you to areas with the highest wildlife concentration—Seronera, Central, Northern, or Western Serengeti. Expect to encounter wildebeests, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and possibly the elusive serval. A packed lunch will be enjoyed in the wild. For those seeking an extra thrill, a hot air balloon safari with a champagne breakfast can be arranged at an additional cost. Return to camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp.

Day 5: From Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Begin your day with a serene game drive at sunrise—an ideal time to catch predators on the hunt. After a late breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive out of Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you can choose to visit a Maasai Boma for a cultural immersion with one of East Africa’s most iconic tribes. Upon arrival, check into your lodge located at the crater’s edge, where you’ll dine and rest while overlooking one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge or Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Fly to Zanzibar

Rise early to descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing areas. During your game drive, you may spot the endangered black rhino, large lion prides, hippos, flamingos, and more. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, you’ll head to Arusha Airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a representative will transfer you to your Stone Town hotel for check-in and a relaxing evening at Tembo House Hotel or Maru Maru Hotel.

Day 7: Discover Stone Town & Transfer to the Beach

After breakfast, take a guided walking tour through Stone Town, a UNESCO-listed cultural gem known for its Arab-Swahili architecture and narrow, winding streets. Visit landmarks such as the House of Wonders, Sultan’s Palace, the spice market, and Freddie Mercury’s childhood home. For those interested, an optional trip to Prison Island to see giant tortoises can be arranged. Later, you’ll transfer to the white sands of Zanzibar’s north coast (Nungwi or Kendwa) to begin your beach escape. Dinner and overnight at Amaan Beach Bungalows or Nungwi Dreams Hotel.

Day 8: Leisure by the Beach & Optional Adventures

This day is yours to enjoy as you please. Lounge on the beach, swim in turquoise waters, or explore optional activities such as snorkeling or diving at Mnemba Atoll, a sunset dhow cruise, or visiting Jozani Forest to see the rare red colobus monkeys. Meals and overnight at your beach resort.

Day 9: Rest, Rejuvenate & Cultural Options

Spend the day indulging in relaxation. Whether it’s a spa treatment, poolside cocktails, or enjoying your resort’s amenities, today is all about unwinding. Optional activities include a Swahili cooking class or a visit to a local village for a deeper cultural connection. Overnight stay at the beach resort with breakfast and dinner included.

Day 10: Farewell Tanzania – Departure from Zanzibar

After breakfast, you’ll check out and be transferred to Zanzibar International Airport for your departure flight or onward travel.

Cancellation Policy

Given that bookings involve accommodations and services arranged in advance, the following cancellation charges apply:

  • Cancellations made 15–30 days before arrival will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made 7–14 days before arrival will incur a 75% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival or in the event of a no-show will not be eligible for a refund.

You have the option to reschedule your safari at no extra cost. However, any price adjustments resulting from revised hotel rates will be your responsible
