Your safari starts here, and we’re as excited about getting going as you are. We’re really looking forward to meeting you, introducing you to your guide, and taking you out on the first steps of your safari.
You will get to sit in the lounge and look out over the waterhole here at the Ark. The waterhole is floodlighted at night and there’s a good chance of seeing elephants and other wildlife from here and also from the water-level photographic hide.
Rooms have bright safari colors and the whole place feels like a mountain lodge in a Kenyan forest.
DAY 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park
It’s time to explore Aberdare National Park, an unusual highlands park with dense forests, waterfalls, high-altitude moorlands, and some interesting wildlife. Elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, buffaloes, and hyenas are all commonly seen, but watch out too for the extremely exclusive bongo antelopes, black rhinos, and black leopards.
Enjoy an evening game drive at Aberdares National Park. This is when temperatures cool, the light becomes softer and the wildlife begins to get active. Not only will you be out when the light is best for taking photos, but it is also one of the best times of the day for seeing the animals.
DAY 2: Aberdare National Park
Pass more time in Aberdare National Park getting to know its many charms.
Early morning Game drive at Aberdare National Park. Put on some warm clothes and enjoy an early morning game drive. This is the perfect time to experience the wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit. The light is soft and warm – perfect for photography and most animals are out and about.
Spend longer watching the waterhole at the Ark.
DAY 3: Aberdare National Park – Nairobi

As your safari comes to an end, we look back on our time together and the wonderful safari memories that we’ve shared. It’s been an amazing journey and although we say goodbye as your tour ends, we look forward to welcoming you back with us again one day.
