Day 1: Arrival and Introduction to Samburu
Depart from Eldoret early in the morning for a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, with a brief stop in Nanyuki for refreshments. Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch and check-in, followed by your first game drive in the late afternoon. Spot unique wildlife, including the “Special Five” such as the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra. Enjoy a beautiful sunset over the savannah before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day of Exploration
Wake up early for a thrilling morning game drive, perfect for spotting predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Afterward, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge, followed by relaxation or an optional nature walk to explore local flora and fauna. Indulge in a buffet lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive to the Ewaso Nyiro River, where you’ll find elephants, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and gather around the bonfire for a cultural experience or to share stories of the day.
Day 3: Immersive Wildlife and Culture
Start the day with an early morning game drive, capturing Samburu’s landscapes and wildlife in the soft morning light. Return for a hearty breakfast, then head to a nearby Samburu village for a cultural tour, learning about traditions and buying handmade crafts.
Enjoy a bush dining lunch surrounded by nature. Afterward, relax at the lodge or join an optional bird-watching tour. In the late afternoon, go on a sunset game drive to witness wildlife in the golden hour. End the day with a farewell dinner, reflecting on your Samburu adventure.
Day 4: Samburu National Reserve – Eldoret
Your final day begins with an early morning game drive, offering a last opportunity to spot Samburu’s wildlife in their natural habitat. After the drive, return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast. Take some time to relax and reflect on your adventures as you prepare for departure.
Check out from Samburu Sopa Lodge and begin your journey back to Eldoret. En route, enjoy a lunch stop at a local restaurant, reliving the memories of the past few days. Arrive in Eldoret in the evening, marking the end of a memorable safari.

Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that we have booked with hotels and other service providers who charge cancellation fees.
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
• 15–30 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
• 7–14 days before arrival: 75% cancellation fee.
• Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: No refund.
In case of unforeseen changes, clients may reschedule their safari for a later date. However, any pricing changes that may occur will require the client to cover the additional costs. Kindly take note of this whenever you book a safari with us.
