DAY 1: ELDORET – SIBILOI NATIONAL PARK

After early morning briefing off, you will depart Eldoret in a land cruiser safari vehicle, ensuring a smooth and scenic journey through Kenya’s countryside. The drive will take you through remote areas with spectacular landscapes, and you will make occasional stops for refreshments. Upon arriving at Desert Rose Lodge, which is located within the Sibiloi National Reserve, you will be welcomed and checked into your accommodation. After settling in, you can enjoy a brief rest before heading out for your first game drive in the reserve. The arid desert terrain is home to species like gazelles, gerenuks, and the elusive cheetah, offering you the perfect opportunity to witness wildlife in its natural desert setting. As the day ends, you’ll return to the lodge for a hearty dinner and an evening of relaxation under the vast desert sky.

DAY 2: FULL DAY SAFARI SIBILOI NATIONAL RESERVE AND KOOBI FORA MUSEUM

Your second day begins early with a morning game drive to explore the reserve when wildlife is most active. The cool morning hours are perfect for spotting desert-adapted animals such as reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, and elephants. After the drive, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy breakfast with panoramic views of the reserve. Your journey then takes you to the Koobi Fora Museum, an archaeological site that reveals prehistoric fossils over two million years old. This museum is an important landmark in the study of human evolution and prehistory. After returning to the lodge for a lunch break, you will have some free time before embarking on an afternoon game drive. As you explore further, you may have the chance to spot predators like lions and leopards. The evening will be capped off with a delicious dinner at Desert Rose Lodge, followed by an evening of leisure.

DAY 3: HALF DAY SIBILOI NATIONAL PARK AND SIBILOI’S FRESHWATER SPRINGS

Starts with another early morning game drive to catch the wildlife during the cooler hours of the day. This will be an opportunity to spot herds of wildebeest, kudu, and perhaps the rare Grevy’s zebra. After the drive, you’ll enjoy a picnic breakfast in the wild, taking in the tranquil desert landscape. Your journey will continue to Sibiloi’s freshwater springs, where you can watch a variety of wildlife that congregates around this important water source. After lunch back at the lodge, you will have time to relax before setting off for another afternoon game drive. This drive offers the chance to explore the ancient volcanic formations and capture stunning views of Lake Turkana in the distance. You may spot species like oryx and Somali ostrich, which roam the area. As the sun sets, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and some time to reflect on the day’s adventures.

DAY 4: DEPART SIBILOI NATIONAL PARK FOR NAIROBI

On the final day, you will depart for one last early morning game drive to capture any remaining wildlife sightings. After the drive, you will return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast and prepare for your departure. You will then begin your journey back to Nairobi, making stops along the way for refreshments and breaks. By late afternoon, you will Nairobi, bringing your enriching safari adventure at Sibiloi National Reserve to a close.
