Your safari starts here, and we’re so excited to be here with you. Meet your guide and ask any questions you may have. Then let’s go out together and go on the safari you’ve been waiting for.

DAY 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park Safari

It’s time to explore Aberdare National Park, an unusual highlands park with dense forests, waterfalls, high-altitude moorlands, and some interesting wildlife.

Elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, buffaloes, and hyenas are all commonly seen, but watch out too for the extremely exclusive bongo antelopes, black rhinos, and black leopards.

Filled with personality, The Ark is a mountain lodge and a wonderful base for exploring Aberdare National Park. The rooms are nicely decorated in safari colors and the lounge area overlooks a waterhole that draws animals and is floodlighted at night. There’s also a photographic hide right down by the water where you can watch elephants drinking very close by.

DAY 2: Aberdare National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park

It’s not surprising that some of the aerial scenes from out of Africa were shot here in Lake Nakuru National Park with its fabulous views of the escarpment, lake, and acacia forest. What also makes Lake Nakuru a special place to visit is its populations of black and white rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. You might also see leopards, flamingos, and many different kinds of birds too.

There’s a real sense of selection when you stay at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. The Lodge sits high in a pretty, tree-filled valley and has excellent facilities. These include a good restaurant, swimming pool, gift shop, bar, and large well maintained rooms with safari-themed décor and mosquito nets. You are also not far from the lakeshore and all of the excellent wildlife viewing that Lake Nakuru National Park has to offer.

DAY 3: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That’s because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats(lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights.

There’s a very good chance you’ll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and of course impalas.

You’re staying at Sarova Mara Game Camp, a wonderful tented camp in a location that combines acacia trees with savannah plains in a wildlife-filled corner of the Masai Mara. The spacious tents come in different sizes and styles and there are also tents for dining, drinking, and even a massage and spa center.

DAY 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy longer in the Masai Mara National Reserve, getting to know its many natural charms.

Spend more time exploring the Masai Mara from your base at Sarova Mara Game Camp.

DAY 5: Masai Mara National Reseve

Spend more time exploring the stunning natural landscapes and extraordinary wildlife of the Masai Mara Reserve.

It’s a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari will draw to a close. We’re sure that you will return home with so many exciting and happy memories and we hope you will join us again on safari sometime in the future.
