7-Day 6 Nights Zanzibar Itinerary

Welcome to Zanzibar, an island of spice, culture, and pristine beaches nestled off the coast of Tanzania. This 7-day journey blends history, nature, relaxation, and local life—offering you the best of what this tropical paradise has to offer. From the narrow streets of Stone Town to the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, every day brings a new discovery.

Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar

Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your accommodation at Jangwani Sea Breeze Resort or a similar beachside hotel. After checking in, take time to relax, soak in the island atmosphere, and enjoy the views of the Indian Ocean. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to take a stroll along the beach or enjoy a refreshing drink as you begin your Zanzibar escape.

Day 2: Exploring Stone Town and Prison Island

After breakfast, the day begins with a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its blend of Swahili, Arab, Persian, and European influences. You will walk through the historic alleys, visit the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the Sultan’s Palace, and local markets bustling with life. In the afternoon, board a boat for a trip to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. This small island once served as a prison and quarantine station and is now home to giant Aldabra tortoises. Enjoy some time on the beach and go for a swim or snorkel in the clear waters before returning to your hotel.
