SIX DAY SAFARI KISUMU MASAI MARA AND LAKE BOGORIA

DAY1: PICKUP AND TRANSFER TO KISUMU CITY
After much anticipation and planning for your safari adventure, the journey begins here. Your
knowledgeable and professional guide will meet you upon arrival to provide a comprehensive
overview of the day’s activities and address any questions you may have. Your safari will
commence with a scenic drive to Kisumu city via the picturesque Nandi Hills route. We will
make a stop at Nandi Hills to enjoy breathtaking views and capture memorable photographs
before continuing your journey.
Upon arrival in Kisumu city, you will visit the Kisumu Museum. Here, you will explore the
Natural History section, featuring displays of regional flora and fauna, including exhibits
highlighting Lake Victoria’s rich aquatic life. You will also have the opportunity to delve into
the Luo cultural exhibit, gaining insights into the traditional lifestyle and history of the Luo
people.
A walk through the snake park will provide a chance to observe various snake species in a safe
environment.
Afterwards, you will be transferred to the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary, where your guide will lead you
on a guided tour of this tranquil haven, home to impalas, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife.
Following your tour, you will enjoy a leisurely lunch at Hideout Resort, a lakeside retreat
celebrated for its serene atmosphere and exquisite cuisine. Take a moment to relax with a
refreshing drink while soaking in the panoramic views of Lake Victoria. In the evening, you
will head to Acacia Premium Hotel for check-in. Unwind and enjoy a delightful dinner at the
hotel before spending a restful night, rejuvenating for the adventures that lie ahead.
DAY 2: EVENING GAME DRIVE MASAI MARA
Start your day with an early morning breakfast, then check out of the hotel and proceed to Maasai Mara National
Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at Aruba Mara Camp and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterward, take some time to
freshen up before embarking on an exciting evening game drive.
Big cats are sure to be a highlight of your time in the Masai Mara. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests,
zebras, hippos and hyenas are also often seen here.
Impalas are everywhere. Bird watchers will also love the chance to see more than 500 different species of birds.
You will love the worm light and cooler temperatures as we take you out to explore on your evening game
drive. This time of the day is when both the predators and the prey are most active and it can feel as though
anything could happen at any moment. After a day of exploration, head back to your hotel for a well-deserved
evening of relaxation. Savor a delicious dinner at the hotel, and then enjoy your night at your own pace.
DAY 3: FULL DAY EXPLORING MAASAI MARA
A whole day game drive from the comfortable safari vehicle, explore the parks
amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest
wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been
recorded here. July, August and September is the best time to visit the rich
reserve, as it coincides with the Great migration, when over 1.5 million
wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles cross the Mara river
from Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara. (Although wildlife sightings may
require patience and sometimes a bit of luck). Bush lunch will be enjoyed at the
park. Leave the park in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4: MAASAI MARA TO LAKE BOGORIA
Your day begins with a delightful breakfast at Aruba Mara Camp, where you can also take
advantage of the hotel’s recreational facilities as you await check-out. Following check-out,
you will embark on your safari to Lake Bogoria, with a scheduled stop in Nakuru Town for
lunch and the opportunity to purchase personal items. Afterward, you will continue with your
journey, arriving at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort. Upon check-in, take a moment to freshen up and
relax before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.
DAY 5: EXPLORE LAKE BOGORIA
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the Lake Bogoria Spa Resort, you will embark on an exhilarating game
drive in the Lake Baringo National Reserve. This adventure offers the opportunity to spot diverse wildlife,
including baboons, gazelles, and a variety of bird species. As you traverse the stunning landscapes, take in the
breathtaking views of the lake and its surroundings. Your journey will then lead you to the hot springs along the
shores of Lake Bogoria, where you can explore the fascinating geothermal activity in the area. Observe the
bubbling waters and steam vents, and gain insights into the geological processes that shape this unique
environment. Finally, immerse yourself in the rich avian diversity of Lake Bogoria, which is home to over 135
bird species, including the magnificent greater flamingos, which can be observed seasonally. This experience

You will also have the chance to observe a diverse array of aquatic animals and the fascinating reptiles of Lake

DAY 6: LAKE BOGORIA TO ELDORET
Although it’s time to say goodbye, we know you will leave as new friends and that you take with you some many

check-out from Lake Bogoria spa resort, you will embark on a scenic drive back to Eldoret, passing through the
stunning landscapes of Lake Baringo. Along the way, take the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and
observe the diverse wildlife. Capture the beauty with photos before continuing your journey back to Eldoret.
