Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Gateway to the Pearl of Africa

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by a representative who will assist with immigration and customs formalities. You will then be transferred to your elegant boutique hotel nestled in the leafy suburbs of Entebbe, just minutes from Lake Victoria. No.5 Boutique Hotel offers a serene and stylish start to your Ugandan journey. After check-in, you may unwind in the peaceful gardens, take a dip in the pool, or enjoy a quiet evening at the hotel’s fine restaurant. Dinner is available at the hotel (optional or on request). Rest overnight as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Kasese – Safari Begins in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your day begins with a delicious breakfast, followed by a transfer back to Entebbe International Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip, the closest access point to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge. After check-in, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and take in panoramic views over the savannah and distant Rwenzori Mountains. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through the Kasenyi Plains. This area of the park is well known for its high concentration of wildlife including herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and prides of lions. As the sun begins to dip, the landscape turns golden and offers spectacular photo opportunities. Return to your lodge for a hearty dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in the wild.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

After breakfast, you will set off for Kyambura Gorge, a hidden tropical forest nestled within a deep valley. Here, you’ll participate in a thrilling chimpanzee trekking adventure. As you descend into the gorge, listen for rustling leaves and excited hoots that signal the presence of these intelligent primates. Your guided trek will introduce you to the rich biodiversity of the area and offer a unique chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a scenic boat safari. This 32-kilometre natural channel links Lake Edward and Lake George and is a magnet for wildlife. Expect to see large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking on the shores, elephants drinking from the water, and countless birds including African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. After the boat ride, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today, your journey continues south through the remote and scenic Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, an area famed for its rare tree-climbing lions. After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to this less-explored region where the sight of lions draped lazily over fig tree branches is one of the park’s most iconic images. Enjoy a mid-morning game drive in search of these elusive big cats and other wildlife before stopping for lunch at the picturesque Ishasha Jungle Lodge. After lunch, the drive proceeds to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the richest ecosystems on earth. Upon arrival, check in to your luxurious jungle lodge. Surrounded by thick forest and the sounds of nature, dinner is served as you settle in for the night, anticipating the extraordinary encounter ahead.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – A Life-Changing Encounter

This is the highlight of your safari – the unforgettable mountain gorilla trek. After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Groups are assigned and led by experienced rangers into the forest. The trek can be moderately strenuous, ranging from 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. As you venture through mist-covered hills, dense vegetation, and ancient trees, your guide will point out animal tracks, medicinal plants, and other wildlife. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend a full hour in their company – quietly observing, photographing, and absorbing their gentle and intelligent presence. After returning to the lodge, you’ll have time to freshen up and enjoy lunch. The afternoon is yours to rest or simply take in the views of the forest from your veranda. Dinner will be served at the lodge as you reflect on the rare privilege of encountering one of the world’s most endangered animals.

Day 6: Batwa Cultural Visit – Fly Back to Entebbe – Departure

Your final day begins with breakfast followed by a visit to the Batwa Cultural Village, located near Bwindi. The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the forest, often referred to as the “keepers of the forest.” Learn about their ancient traditions, storytelling, and hunter-gatherer lifestyle through interactive performances and guided interpretation. After the cultural visit, return to the lodge for lunch and check out. You’ll be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met and assisted to your international terminal for your onward connection.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that we have booked with hotels and other service providers who charge cancellation fees.
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
• 15–30 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
• 7–14 days before arrival: 75% cancellation fee.
• Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: No refund.

In case of unforeseen changes, clients may reschedule their safari for a later date. However, any pricing changes that may occur will require the client to cover the additional costs. Kindly take note of this whenever you book a safari with us.
