Lake Bogoria is a saline, alkaline lake that lies in a Volcanic region in a half-graben basin south of Lake Baringo, Kenya. It is home to one of the world’s largest populations of flamingos and a lot of wildlife. Its famous attraction is the hot springs, steam sets, and geysers. Lake Baringo on the other hand is the most northern of the Kenyan rift valley lakes after Lake Turkana. It is fed by several rivers; Perkerra, Molo, and Ol Arabel. It has no outlet. The Park has a vast number of wildlife.

Day 1: Eldoret – Lake Bogoria

If you’ve seen photos of flamingos in Kenya, they were probably taken at Lake Bogoria National Reserve. If you’re lucky you might also see leopards, klipspringers, gazelles, buffaloes, and even greater kudu, but flamingos are the main attractions.

One of the closest hotels to Lake Bogoria Spa Resort is an excellent base. Old-style rooms are generally large, have a warm color scheme, and some have views out over the surrounding countryside. It’s well known for its spa center, there’s a swimming pool and you can enjoy the bar and restaurant.

Day 2: Lake Baringo – Eldoret

The scenery of Lake Baringo is breathtaking. The Lake is famous for its great number of crocodiles and hippos along the Lake.

Since it’s a freshwater lake lesser flamingos are not present at the Lake. The Lake is well known for its bird viewing as it hosts a greater number of bird species.

We will then proceed to Lake Baringo reptile park to see the different varieties of reptiles. Have a boat ride for an Island excursion, the love island, and the hot spring.

Have packed lunch as you proceed with your journey to Eldoret arriving latest by 6:00 pm.
