Eliye springs is a remote village on the western shore of Lake Turkana in Kenya. It is located 50 kilometres east of Lodwar. It provides lake views, accommodation, a restaurant and a spa. The Turkwel hydroelectric power is an arch dam on the Turkwel River. It is one of the major hydro-electric power stations in Kenya. Central island is a volcanic island located in the middle of Lake Turkana. It is composed of more than a dozen craters and cones, three of which are filled by small lakes.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lodwar

Pick up from residential areas. Morning brief as you depart to the Jomo Kenyatta International airport to catch a flight to Lodwar.
Have lunch at Lodwar town as you proceed to Stegra Hotel arriving in time for check in.
Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Eliye Springs

Depart after an early morning breakfast to Eliye Springs which is roughly 40km from Lodwar town.
Later on, set out by boat to Central Island National Park a very exciting trip. Central island is a very unique park in its own way. The Island has three crater lakes; Turtle lake, Tilapia lake and Crocodile lake.

You’ll walk to the highest elevation of the island from where you enjoy stunning views of two of the crater lakes and the majestic Lake Turkana.
One of the lakes on central island is home to tens of thousands of flamingos.

Enjoy packed lunch on the island and return later in the evening as the sun sets over the vast horizons.
Dinner and Overnight at the Eliye springs resort.

Day 3: Lake Turkana

Breakfast is served. Chill out Day at Lake Turkana. Lake Turkana is the world’s largest permanent desert lake and the world’s largest alkaline lake.
Spend this day relaxing on the beach and visiting the nearby village and camps. If it’s in it for you another boat tour would be great.
Dinner and overnight at Eliye springs resort.

Day 4: Eliye Springs – Nairobi

Breakfast at the resort as you prepare to check out. Proceed to Lodwar airport to catch a flight to Nairobi.
