You will join us on the first step of our journey together. You’ll meet your friendly expert guide and we’ll get the formalities out of the way quickly so that we can get out there and start enjoying the safari you’ve been dreaming of.
DAY 1:Nairobi – Maasai Mara
We think you’ll love the Maasai Mara National Reserve. One of the best places to watch wildlife anywhere in Kenya. You’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and spotted hyenas. With so many Zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and other prey species here.
It’s easy to fall in love with the Maasai Mara when you stay at Zebra Plains Mara Camp(or any other hotel of your preference). The luxury tents are just the beginning, with an outstanding restaurant, a well-restocked bar and professional service all among the highlights of staying here. You’re also in a first rate location, which is ideal for seeing the many animals that make visiting the Maasai Mara such a special experience.
DAY 2:Maasai Mara Game drive
Spend more time exploring the stunning natural landscapes and extraordinary wildlife of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. A whole day game drive from the comfortable base of the camp, explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.
Return to Zebra Plains Mara Camp(or any other hotel of your preference) for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Masai Mara to Lake Bogoria National Reserve
If you’ve seen photos of flamingos in Kenya, they were probably taken at Lake Bogoria National Reserve. If you’re lucky you might also see gazelles, greater Kudu among other wildlife, but flamingoes are the main attraction.
You’ll be staying at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort, the ideal base for visiting the lake and its flamingos, with other great bird-watching nearby. Rooms are larger and warmly decorated, and some even have views of the countryside and distant hills. Relax in the spa and swimming pool and you’ll enjoy the bar and restaurant.
Dinner and overnight at the resort.
DAY 4: Lake Baringo
Quiet and pretty Lake Baringo is one of Kenya’s least visited Rift Valley lakes, but it’s one of the best for birdwatching, with more than 450 species seen in the area.
You’ll get to enjoy a boat ride at Lake Baringo to Olkokwe island. The island is home to various bird species, which makes it a popular spot for birdwatching. In addition to birdlife, the surrounding lake environment supports a range of aquatic species and other wildlife.
The island is also an interesting place from a cultural perspective. The communities around Lake Baringo, including those living on or near Olkokwe Island, have a rich cultural heritage with traditional practices and lifestyles that have been maintained over generations.
Later get to spend the night at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort. Old-sytle rooms are generally large, have warm color schemes and some have views out over the surrounding countryside. It’s well known for its Spa center, there’s a swimming pool and you can enjoy the bar and restaurant.
