Day 1: Nairobi – Eldoret

You’ve been dreaming of your safari for so long and now its finally about to begin. You’ll meet your guide who will tell you everything you need to know to get your safari started. We’re as excited as you are to get your trip underway.

You’ll stay at Naiberi Camp site with us. It’s an excellent place to stay as you enjoy this leg of your trip.

Day 2: Eldoret – Lodwar

Journey proceeds from Eldoret – Lodwar. This is a 6 hrs drive with medium temperatures along the way. Lunch is served at Turkwel Hydroelectric Power Station. Journey proceed to Lodwar town where you stopover for personal shopping.

When you stay at Eliye Springs Resort, you’re in a good location to enjoy this leg of your trip.

Day 3: Lake Turkana

Full day relaxing at the sandy beaches of the North. Eliye springs is a remote village on the western shore of Lake Turkana, near the mouth of River Turkwel. It is located 50 kilometres east of Lodwar.

The local springs produce lush vegetation along its section of the otherwise barren lakeshore, and support a community of about 5000 people with fresh drinking water.

Day 4: Central Island Excursion

Full day excursion on the Central Island. The Central Island, also known as Crocodile Island, is the gem of Lake Turkana. The Volcanic Island emerges starkly from the blue-green waters of the largest desert lake in the world. The Central Island is made up of three active volcanoes that belch sulphurous smoke and steam.

The 3 crater lakes; Crocodile Lake, Flamingo Lake and Tilapia Lake, provide breeding grounds for the world’s largest concentration of Nile crocodiles. Central Island has a campsite where visitors can enjoy the beautifully haunting sight of the lake’s luminous waters wash up onto a black lava beach while the moon rises over the menacingly smoking craters.Later you can have an evening sundowner/cultural visit to the Turkana villages.

Day 5: Lake Turkana – Eldoret

Return journey from Lodwar to Eldoret. Lunch is served at  Kitale. Stopover in Eldoret. You will stay with us at Naiberi Camp site.

Day 6: Eldoret – Nairobi

This is when your safari will come to an end. We hope that you’ve had the most wonderful time, that you have seen all the animals you dreamed of seeing, and that you will return home with beautiful memories. We look forward to seeing you again.
